1. INFOSYS
Attended on September 22nd 2014, at my college and I was knocked out of 1st round that is aptitude test.
There were around 200 to 300 students and cleared were 70-90.
2. UNISYS
Date & Time: 27/9/2014, 9AM
Compensation: Starts with 2.38 lacs which gets revised to 2.64 Lacs after 6 months (after successful completion of training and assessment)
Process:
Online test
GD and technical interview.
I cleared the online screening test, it consisted of 20Q on quants, 20Q on logical, 20Q on networking concepts.RS Agarwal is enough to clear this round. (Cut off 50)Next I went through GD and I couldn’t clear this round, topic was “If u become principal of the college what r the measures u r going to take” and other topic was “honesty is the best policy”. In technical interview they asked about job profile, networking basic questions as said by my friends.
3. IGATE
Attended on 10th October 2014, at Don Bosco Institute of Technology, Bangalore. There were around 1000 candidates from various colleges and cleared were 70-90.I couldn’t clear aptitude test as I answered around 28Q correctly and marked the rest questions blindly. The cut off was 42 out of 50.Job role was software engineer and package 3.15lpa.
4. LnT InfoTech
Here 8 colleges participated in the drive. The process was Aptitude online test, GD, Technical interview, managerial round and HR.I couldn’t clear aptitude test. There were around 2000-3000 candidates. Percentage criteria was 58% throughout academics.
5. SAP LABS
Online test was on 11th November’14. I couldn’t clear aptitude test. In my point of view aptitude was tough compared to other companies. In addition to quants, logical there were two programs, on program was difficult and the other program was moderate. In order to clear the test you must write at least one program and that program must be compiled successfully and output must be obtained. I couldn’t get the o/p of both programs, so couldn’t clear.

6. HP
Date : 14th Nov’14
Role offered : Technical Consultant
CTC: 3.5 lacs per annum. The process was: JAM Session, Written test, Technical, Managerial, and HR. Here i cleared the JAM session. In Jam session you are free to talk on any topic u r interested for 2 minutes. Here there were around 3000 candidates, who attended the drive. Next I went through written test, it consisted of 20% on quants and logical and 70% in C++ programming. In c++ programming most of the questions were what is the o/p of the following program, find out the error in the program and questions on constructor, destructor. I couldn’t clear the written test.
7. APTEAN
Date: 9TH FEB 2015
Package: INR 3,30,000 p.a.
First there was PPT presentation. This was one of the superb online test so far I have attended. It consisted of 50Q to be answered in 15 minutes. It consisted of quants, logical and verbal. the company checks how fast you r in solving the problems. This test I couldn’t clear so I was out after the first round. There were around 100-200 candidates and students who cleared were just 10-15. Those who cleared the test were called to the company premises for attending the further rounds.
8. TCS
I couldn’t clear the online test which was conducted on 20th feb 2015. I could answer only 15Q correctly, so out of the online test.
9. Power Research and Development Consultants Pvt. Ltd (PRDC)
This was the first core company for my batch. It consisted of online test, telephonic technical interview and HR. The test consisted of 20% on quants+logical, 20% on c programming and 60% on core electrical. The topics that were asked in the test were P&L, ages, %, coding, number system, HCF & LCM, R&P. From c programming and electrical concepts asked were finding the o/p of the program, finding error, HVDC, control system, type of turbine used in hydroelectric station, power system analysis, basic electrical. Some of the questions were directly asked from Indiabix and other key websites. I cleared the test. After 2 months they announced the results of the test. Next was telephonic round, these r the questions that were asked in this round:
Tell me about yourself.
Asked why there was reduction in the percentage right from 10th to graduation.
Tell me about Ur project. (As my project was based on electronics, he asked me how it is related to electrical branch)
Asked area of interest (told Dc machines and logic design, he started asking on DC machines)
Questions on DC Machines were principle of motors and generator, type of motor used most commonly, EMF equation, torque equation, applications of shunt motors, types of winding & diff b/w them.
Tell Maximum power transfer theorem, Superposition theorem, types of induction machines, concepts studied in power system analysis & what is load frequency control.
I didn’t clear this telephonic round.
10. ACCORD SOFTWARE
Date & Time : 20-Mar-2015 at 9am
Designation : Engineer Trainee – Systems (Electronics specialized students)
Engineer Trainee – Software (Computer science specialized students)
Process: Technical written test (one round) + Technical Interview (one round or two rounds) + HR Interview (one round).CTC 3LPA.Test instructions were Test duration: 1 hour 30 minutes -Electronics domain students and 1 hour – Computer science domain students. Question will be objective type. There is negative marking by 1/3. Electronics domain students can use the calculator.
The written test consisted of 20% on quants and 80% on electronics and communication. I couldn’t clear the test.
11. Project Client : ORACLE INDIA
Date : 7th April 2015 @10am
Job Designation : Associate Software Engineer
Stipend: INR 12,500/month during the first three months of training period. Salary: INR 20,000/month from fourth month onwards (post training period). I couldn’t clear the online test.
12. Surya Software Systems Pvt Ltd
Date & Time : 21st April 2015 @9 am
Designation : Software Engineer – Trainee
Remuneration : 1.9 Lakhs Per Annum
There were around 80 candidates and students who cleared the test were 11. The written test consisted of quants, logical and c programming. Most of the questions on c programming were without any options. One program was asked that was: “Write the program for obtaining the following o/p”

The rest questions were finding the o/p, finding error; complete the pgm, one ques on logical there were 10 tigers, 1 man, 10 horses in a hall. Find the no of legs in the hall Etc. I cleared the written test and they called for technical interview at the company premises. The technical questions asked were pgm on swap of two no’s, swapping without temporary variable, quest on puzzle was there are 5 persons A, B, C, D, E. they r on one side of the bridge, they need to cross the bridge using only one lamp, how many times they need to cross the bridge using only one lamp. Question on DBMS (I said that I don’t know about dbms) he asked it twice so I replied the same, what is abstraction, write a program on operator overloading. I couldn’t clear the technical interview.
13. HUAWEI TECHNOLOGIES
Date: 17th June 2015. Position: Software Engineer (Contract Role with Annual renewal)Package 2.8 Lakhs P.A.The written test consisted of 20Q on Quants+logical and 20Q on c programming. Duration 60minutes. Sectional cut off was there 10 from quants+logical and 10 from c programming. questions were related to coding(3Q),blood relations, number series(3Q),ages,p&l,%,R&P, number system, simplification, probability, p&C, T&W,T&D,finding the o/p of the program (all 20Q).Indiabix is sufficient to crack this test. Practise c programming from indiabix. Indiabix is more than enough to sole this test (RS Aggarwal also not needed). I cleared the written test. got 10 marks from part A and 11 marks from Part B. They called for the interview at company premise on 20th June. Around 200 candidates attended the drive and cleared were 42.Next was technical interview. These r the questions asked by the interviewer for about 75 minutes. The questions were tell me about yourself, do u know c and c++ programming, write a program on Fibonacci series, write a program on printing alternate variables of a word, write the syntax of malloc, what is inheritance, what is abstraction, what is the use of data hiding, write a basic program on class, write the logic symbol and truth table of NAND & XNOR gate, do u know data structures(replied basics), what is the diff b/w stack & queue , what is the diff b/w array and linked list, write a program on multiple inheritance, what is the diff b/w post increment and pre increment, given an example on pre increment and post increment and finding its value, what is the use of pointers and finally any questions(replied no) . After this round I was worried as I couldn’t answer some of the questions. Thank God I got selected in this round. After this there was a round technical+HR (combination of both). These r the questions that were asked in this round: tell me about yourself, why software industry being a EEE student, explain the strengths and how r u suitable with it, what r ur weakness and how can u overcome from that, explain about your project, what r the disadvantages of ur project, what is software testing , what r u aspiring to become write down the concepts about messaging i.e., SMS thinking from the R&D point of view and finally any questions (replied any concepts that I need to improve while getting into the software industry). I came to know that he impressed. I was confident that I will be selected. Next they took selected students for managerial round. It was like a stress interview. One was Chinese interviewer and other was an Indian. These r the questions that were asked: tell me about ur qualification & percentages scored, what is ur father & mother doing, what is ur dream role, r u interested in software testing, what is ur CET rank, What r the strengths, what r ur strengths in academics, what is ur weakness, what is software testing, given a web page that consist of username and password u have to do testing on this page (conditions was username must consist of 1 number &4 characters). I was bit anxious in this round so I couldn’t clear this round. And finally only 2 were selected after all rounds.
14. Tayana software
Salary was 3lpa with 2 year bond. Designation was software engineer. First was PPT. Then written test. It consisted of 20Q on quants+logical & 20Q on C programming. I cleared the written test but I couldn’t clear the technical interview. Those who clear the TI were called for HR interview with the CEO of the company. The questions asked in TI were : tell me about yourself, what is the diff b/w structure and union, which bulb consumes more power if connected in series with an example, why EEE, does laptop works on DC or AC, being an electrical engineer what r the measures that u have taken at ur house, what is the diff b/w post increment and pre increment, given an example on pre increment and post increment and finding its value, what is the size of char, what is the diff b/w c & C++ and finally any questions(replied any concepts that I need to improve). I couldn’t clear the TI.
15. FANUC INDIA
Date: 25th July. Position was trainee engineer. First was written test which consisted 25Q (colour coding, networking concept, equivalent resistance, basic electronics, basic electrical) to be answered in 15 minutes. Cut off was 22. I was knocked out after this round.
16. ABC consultants
Designation was management trainee and package 3lpa.I cleared written test but rejected after technical inter.

17. Karthavya technologies
I couldn’t clear the written test. Written test consisted of 10Q on quants+logical 7 20Q on C programming. There were no options for any of the questions. Quest on C programming were write a program, write a program (all similar type).
18. Xchanging
I applied through Firstnaukri.com.Designation was software engineer with 3lpa & 3 year bond. First round was JAM session. There were around 1000 candidates. In Jam session you can speak any topic of your choice. I cleared this round. Next was written test. It consisted of 50Q to be done in 45 minutes. The concepts were coding, blood relations, number series(3Q),ages,p&l,%,R&P, number system, simplification, probability, p&C, T&W, T&D, passage, antonyms, synonyms, meaningful sentence, complete the figure. In my point of view verbal part was little bit tricky, logical and quant was manageable. I couldn’t clear this round.
19. SAP LABS(2nd time)
This time also I couldn’t clear aptitude.
20. TAAL TECH
This was the 3rd core company attended. Position: GET. I applied through naukri.com. Ctc was 3LPA. All the rounds were conducted on the same day. First was online test. It consisted of 10Q on logical and 30Q on electrical. The topics include were Folding images, missing no, coding, blood relations, basics of DC machines, finding current in the network, finding equivalent resistance, transformer losses, induction m/c, basic electrical engineering. There were respective questions for each and every student. For example for civil student 30Q on civil engineering, for CS students 30Q on computer science etc. There were around 200 candidates and students who cleared the test were 150. Cut off was less. In TI they asked questions on project, type of fuse used in substation, types of fuses, types of relay, diff b/w relay & fuse, what is the use of BuCCholz Relay, which semester u studied about probability & Fourier transform, how much did u scored in Maths -4. I cleared this round. Some of the students were rejected in this round. After TI we were called for HR interview. It went for just 10 minutes. Questions were Tell me about yourself, what r ur strengths, what do u know about TAAL Tech that’s it. Even though I answered all the correctly i was not selected after HR.
21. Fed-Ex
Position: GET. I applied through naukri.com. CTC was 4LPA. First was written test with 10Q on logical, 10Q on quants & 10Q HR related .The topics were missing no, number system, P&l, T & D, T &W, HCF & LCM, simplification ,ages & R & P. On the entire topics only one question was asked. Duration was 1.5 hours. I couldn’t clear the written test.
22. IGATE (2nd time)
I applied on company website on 21st October & got a call to attend the interview on 22nd November to attend the interview on 28th November. I made up my mind somehow I must clear the written test. I decided this is the last company and that I should crack the interview. I practised quants from RS Aggarwal. I read some candidates interview experience and made a strategy that I must clear the written test. I practised logical reasoning from Indiabix. Finally I practised iGATE questions from m4maths.Designation: Software Engineer. Reporting time was 8 AM. I reached there at 8:45 AM. There was a long queue for half the road. While entering they gave interview slot no. Then took to the basement of the company for checking the APP ID. Then we were sent for taking up the test. OMR sheet was given. I wrote my test sitting in the first floor of canteen. There were around 160 -170 candidates. I cleared the written test. From 160 batch 24 were selected.

10. A factory produces 1 defective bulb out of 10 bulbs a year. If it produces 870 bulbs a year how many defective are produced.
11. If 15 men digs 35 cu units for 7 hours. How many men can dig 65 cu units in 5 hours?

12. Question on ages, simplification, Probability (neither black nor white selection).
13. A circle with radius 6cm and other circle with radius 8cm and their centres are separated by 10cm then what is the chord length? (From m4maths same question came so answered within 10 seconds).
14. Questions on blood relations -3Q (one answer was brother)
15. Questions on Coding(2Q), syllogism ( 2Q),analogy(1Q), easy problem on speed & distance(1Q),profit and loss(1Q),R & P(1Q),%(1Q),difference in address(1Q).
16. One question on: Weights of a person for 1st, 2nd &3rd weeks , will be given in mixed fraction and the answer is no option is correct .
17.One question on logic deduction: If “king was brave” is coded as “gamut atump slara” and “soldiers are brave” is coded as “kiter fhag slara” then “brave” is code as_____(answer is slara)(similar type of question)
17. MIRROR IMAGE (SAME QUESTION AS IT IS) (THE IMAGE IS GIVEN BELOW)

Around 100 candidates were selected for TI. These r the questions asked in TI: Are u interested in software field or hardware field, explain about your project, what r concepts u have studied in Network analysis, tell me about ur family background, do u know c and c++ programming, do u know about networking and communication concepts, do u know about data structures(replied basics), what is dream role u want to become, rather than software engineer what u want to become, what is the cost of the sensor used in your project, what is the use of your project to the society, is the project useful for real time application… THAT’S IT.
Then they took me for HR interview. This was just a five minute chat with HR. The Questions asked were : tell me about yourself, r u from Andhra Pradesh, r u ready for relocation, r u ready to work on any business unit, what r u aspiring to become…… THAT’S IT
After TI some of the candidates were rejected, for some candidates HR round was first conducted, some candidates were rejected after TI & HR. So finally around 60-80 candidates were taken for document verification and I was one among them. They took the self -attested photocopies of marks cards from 10th to graduation, photocopy of ID proof. They told that Campus Support will contact you for further communication. I got call on 8th december that u r selected and offer letter will be released within 7 days with 28th dec joining date.
